CNBC and Statista announced last week their list of the top 250 fintech companies across the globe, including okoora among them.
When we started okoora as a humble bootstrap operation just a few years ago, our vision was to disrupt the fintech industry and provide game-changing solutions that would empower our customers and transform the financial landscape. Today, I am proud to say that we have taken a giant leap towards realizing that vision.
Okoora is still a young company that has been diligently working since 2021 with a customer obsessed focus on building products that will solve the pain points of companies managing payments in foreign currencies.
To date our efforts have been rewarded with an exponentially growing customer base and a rapid increase in the number of transactions being conducted using okoora’s technology.
However, this year, 2024, we have begun to see the results as well in terms of industry recognition from our peers and tech and business media outlets.
The latest recognition comes from the U.S.-based business news outlet CNBC, which put us yesterday on their list of the Top 250 Fintechs around the world. The list, compiled in a joint effort with the market data statistics portal Statista, was based on the analysis of thousands of fintechs’ performance on key indicators such as business model, revenue growth, user base, degree of innovation, and impact on the fintech ecosystem.
Being named among the global leaders in fintech is not just a remarkable milestone, but also a testament to the resilience, agility, and entrepreneurial spirit that has driven us every step of the way. We have navigated the challenges and emerged as a force to be reckoned with in the dynamic world of financial technology.
This recognition is a powerful validation of our commitment to innovation, our relentless focus on customer success, and our ability to consistently deliver solutions that are shaping the future of the financial services industry.
The CNBC list follows on the heels of the announcement in May by the Israeli business paper Calcalist that okoora was one of Israel 50 Most Promising Startups. Okoora was one of just four fintechs with local operations that made the list of most promising startups.
On both the CNBC and Calcalist lists, okoora was one of a handful of bootstrapped startups, which makes the achievement all the more remarkable – we have been able to get this far without investment from venture capital funds.
We also received Digital Banking Award from IBS Intelligence, a leading global financial technology research, news analysis, and advisory firm, in April.
Despite all the accolades, we haven’t slowed our beat or dropped our pace. We announced in June our expansion in Europe with our entry into the Polish market. Meanwhile, we are energetically working towards the official launch of our mobile app on Android and iOS to take place in the coming weeks.
In short, these are exciting times at okoora and we look forward to meeting and exceeding customer expectations as we enter new markets and expand our product offerings.
